In 2002, Noyce directed the film Rabbit-Proof Fence, which was based on the book Follow the Rabbit-Proof Fence by Doris Pilkington Garimara. Both book and film are inspired from the true story of three Aboriginal girls who were forcibly removed from their families, providing a stark view of the brutalities endured by Aboriginal people in the 1930s.
