Utopia and dystopia

Utopia is a genre that explores new, possible types of social structures and political systems in the future. The author tries to create an ideal environment for people. He creates a fictional world based on his ideas. This literary genre was named after the novel Utopia (1516) by Thomas More. In this novel, the writer describes a distant, ideal, and harmonious wealthy society on an island, where all goods are distributed as needed. As in Huxley's Brave New World, the state has strict control over its citizens, and personal freedom is severely restricted.
